W
e know the fresh face of Billy Bolin and think of 
him as a dedicated husband, proud father of three 
kids, UNL guy, Hutch First Tee volunteer, lead PD 
golf instructor, club-fitting expert and strong, competitive 
player. John Lanham, whom Billy says has strongly 
influenced his career and success at the Dunes, says, “Billy is 
a model PGA Professional. I couldn’t be more pleased with 
his leadership of the Golf Staff, our merchandising operation, 
and his natural gift for providing hospitality for our Members 
and guests.” 
What some of us may not yet know about our First Assistant 
Golf Professional is that he’s considered the fresh face of 
the industry. Billy won the Flint Hills Chapter merchandising 
award for the Midwest Section PGA in 2023 and both 
the chapter merchandising award and overall section 
Merchandiser of the Year award in 2025. He has built 
industry acclaim for a golf shop with a footprint so small that 
its inventory spills into the hallway.
